GPS IIR-16 (M) is the third of the modernized GPS satellites, incorporating various improvements to provide greater accuracy, increased resistance to interference and enhanced performance for users. It was launched aboard a Delta II 7925-9.5 vehicle on November 17, 2006 at 14:12 EST from Space Launch Complex 17A at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, FL.
