Main engine start Rising from the smoke and steam of its 2:28:12 am liftoff, Endeavour is almost clear of the tower.

 

Clear of the tower and obscuring smoke, Endeavour lights the skies in a man-made sunrise.

Upon the shrieking minions of Hell's lowest corner, the blistering rage focused to its work, Endeavour rises on twin columns of angry torrent and sulphurous blaze to the loftiest dreams of humanity.

 

Roll program begins Roll program almost complete, Endeavour orients herself to the 51.6° inclination to the equator to rendezvous with ISS.

Endeavour illuminates a low deck of clouds as she punches through the layer. She was not seen for the remainder of the launch. Endeavour flairs for landing in this rare night landing on runway 15
